We have had lots of fun and exciting things happen over this last week. My sister-in-law gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Saturday August 15th. She weighed in at 8 lbs even and 21 inches long.What an absolute miracle! She's so tiny and perfect in every way.
We went over to the hospital shortly after she was born and got to hold her. Doesn't this look just fit Randy so well? He was so cute with her. They named her Caidence Elizabeth (I'm not sure if I spelled it right), Caidee for short.
A few days ago we were able to go see my brother Jacob play in a talent show at his work. It was neat to see him up there doing what he absolutely loves. He definitely had a big fan club! Our whole family was able to make it and lots of his friends as well. It was a lot of fun. And to top it all off, he won first place along with a check for $300. I thought it was a pretty sweet deal.
What a little angel - look at those cheeks! You guys must be so proud:) It's so fun to be uncle and aunt. When you become a parent, you have less to give those little nieces and nephews, so enjoy that opportunity (you know, the opportunity to make sure you are everyone's favorite aunt and uncle. teehee)
