Ouch! That hurt!

So Wednesday was our last day in San Diego so we wanted to make the most of it. We got up early and went out boogie boarding. We were pretty much the only ones out there. The water was a little cold when we first got in, but you got used to it(went completely numb) after a few minutes. Well, there I was out there riding waves when all of a sudden I felt a sharp stabbing pain in the side of my left foot. Well, I took a look at it and realized that I was bleeding. I figured I must have stepped on something sharp or kicked a rock or something. I rode the next wave into the beach and limped up to the beach chairs leaving a bloody trail behind me. I took off my shirt and wrapped up my foot to stop the bleeding and then took another look. Sure enough I had a small puncture wound on the side of my left foot. Well, for a small puncture wound I sure had a lot of pain. I actually had more pain from that small puncture wound then I have ever had in my life. Well, I sat there and waited for Amberlee to finish boogie boarding. When Amberlee was done playing in the ocean we made the trek back to the campsite. I was worried about infection and couldn't understand why it was hurting so bad. We rinsed it off and then hopped in the car to go get checked out by Doctor Grandma. I took 3 Advil and eventually 3 Tylenol. The pain was still too much for me. They decided to soak my foot in some hot water mixed with hydrogen peroxide and hand sanitizer. Well, when I put my foot in that hot water, the pain went away. Then as the water cooled off, the pain came back. So as long as my foot was in really hot water, the pain was gone. I really thought this was weird. Well, after about an hour of soaking my foot I got up and took a shower and then bandaged my foot up for the six hour drive home. I drove the whole way home and the house and everything was still standing. I got a tetanus shot just in case. Amberlee did a little research and found out that I got stung by a STING RAY! No wonder it hurt so bad. I am doing fine now and am back to work. We miss San Diego! Thanks to everyone that made the trip so much fun.
